This is a condition characterized by widespread muscle pain. It can be accompanied by limited mobility, irritability, depression, headaches, dizziness, muscle stiffness and weakness.

It occurs in women much more often than men. It can not be diagnosed by a specific test. It is usually based on the patient’s symptoms, complaints and having ruled out other possibilities i.e. Rheumatoid arthritis, Lymes etc.

It often accompanies Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. There is no known exact cause. It is believed to be the result of numerous imbalances in the body that have an accumulative affect. The following list contains the variables that should be investigated in accordance with the patient’s personal, familial and medical history:
